One of the must-dos in doing diligence on a hedge fund is flipping through its 13-Fs.

A fund with at least $100 million AUM needs to file a 13-F within 45 days after the last day of the calendar quarter. Funds are only required to report long positions, calls and puts, ADRs, and convertible positions in the 13-F filing.

There are many tools that parse 13-Fs. I will use Whalewisdom as the tool. Let me teach you how to use Whalewisdom. Beware Whalewisdom's layout and functionality might change in the future.
