About me

My name is Jerry Diao, the founder of Richard Toad®, serving the equity research profession. I have been featured on Bloomberg. I covered enterprise software in sell-side equity research, then moved on to a generalist research analyst role at a California-based start-up hedge fund. Before equity research, I was an actuary and a quantitative analyst (without winning a national math competition in China though.) I hold a Bachelor’s in Statistics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from NYU Stern.
Every Sunday at 12pm EST, you’ll get a sharp hit of insight—either how to break into and succeed in public equity research, or what I’m learning about investing and great businesses.
